I was disappointed with Morecambe because it’s very rundown with lots of closed down businesses and rather shabby looking. It’s a shame because it could be a thriving seafront. The seafront itself is long and well kept just the shops and buildings are not very attractive.

The beaches are graded so that dog owners and children do not have to mix. There is a lovely sandy beach. Clearly the town has seen better days but so much effort has gone into providing such a lovely promenade and other amenities that a few more tourists would raise the profile of the seafront shops. There is a wealth of accommodation for all pockets in the town so it would be a shame not to take advantage of it.

We were only stopping over at Morecambe to facilitate a rental car return the following day.
It was a great place to stop for 12 hours. I don't know if we would have stopped longer by choice if we had the option but it seemed a great place for families with kids.
There is a nice walk along the beachfront and a statue of Eric Morecambe.
There are lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from as well.

The walk along the sea front was very interesting if you read the plaques and information boards. Don’t forget the stone jetty.
Take your picture through the picture frame looking across the bay or even with Eric Morecambe. There is even an artwork trail to follow including a cutout of the lakes which you can see across the bay
Plenty of cafes to call for a pit stop

Morecambe is very quiet at Easter and more suited to older people at this time of year as there is very little to do. However, it's perfect for dog owners. Most of the hotels and pubs allow dogs. The best thing of all was a gigantic ice cream purchased from a combined gift shop opposite the statue of Eric Morecambe. The promenade and stone pier, as well as the playgrounds are easily accessible and there are car parks on the sea front.
For TV sport and American style dining, The Station (opposite the Midland) is hard to beat.

Morecambe has a good selection of restaurants and the oldest pub in Lancashire with a very nice atmosphere, a selection of little independent shops you don't find in any town, we very much enjoyed our visit and would like to go back again
Nice view, quiet location, very clean and comfortable room. The food served in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The self check in/out is very convenient and any questions I had were quickly answered online ( via Booking.com ). We were in Morecambe for an evening event and had brought a dog with us ( I have a camera so that I can see he’s behaving via my phone ) so needed somewhere that could accommodate him. We left him in the room whilst we ate, but there are tables outside that I guess he could have sat with us at.
A wonderful location, we chose this hotel as we have been here before and can't fault it.The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is okay and can't do enough to help.We had a small issue with our key but was rectified immediately.
Very comfortable bed and lovely sea view.
Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Morecambe people are exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Very easily accessible, close to excellent amenities. Very clean and extremely well equipped. We were staying overnight for a family funeral in Morecambe with three branches of the family attending from Scotland and Leeds. It was an ideal base and Mark was extremely accommodating and very informative. Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk and Bottled Water was also provided.
The bedroom was great, well designed with loads of space saving ideas, had a great balcont over looking Morecambe bay. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent, likewise with breakfast, wher you could choose your cereal, breads, full cooked, anything really, the staff were all excellent.
Loved our room & the breakfast was excellent. Very clean & a really comfortable bed. The views were spectacular from our huge picture window. The staff in this hotel are very friendly and extremely welcoming. When we visit morecambe in the future, we will definitely be booking this hotel again.
We booked this very last minute as we had to visit Morecambe on urgent family business. We have stayed in several beachfront hotels over the years and this was by far the best.
The room was a good size and well heated, decent size bath and huge TV. Magnificent views across the bay.
Very understanding, and helpful Owner/Property Manager. Location-wise, it was pretty decent, only 3-4 mins walk to Morecambe Bay. Close to essential shops - grocery and car repair shops as well. Uber Eats works just fine as well if you want to order some food or groceries.
friendly welcoming great food i would highly recommend this hotel this was my 2nd or third visit always stay or go for a drink entertainment fantastic staff brilliant best place in Morecambe a real local place handy for town
Exceptional view of Morecambe Bay. Everything we needed was provided - towels, tea & coffee, snacks & water. Bed was very comfortable & the wifi worked well. Breakfast was better than most hotels!
Communication with the owner was excellent. Location was good and not far away from the sea front. Parking wasn’t an issue. The Morecambe Hotel is literally around the corner and is dog friendly.
Everything was fine about the hotel - a quite grand old building, which had been kept in good repair, situated on the promenade, with a good view of Morecambe Bay, courteous and helpful staff.
The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. A great view from the hotel for Dinner and Breakfast and good food too . A great short stay for us and enjoyed Morecambe too
AFTER VISITIBG THE "ROYAL HOTEL", I WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE "CROWN HOTEL" A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY. HOWEVER, THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM, AND THE ROOM WAS VERY GOOD. NO PROBLEMS !
Highlight was the view of Morecambe Bay from our room. Rather quaint, old-fashioned, seaside hotel with evening cabaret entertainment by a solo performer. Friendly staff.
We stayed in pod 2,which there are 3 looking towards the river. The bar staff in the hotel next to the pods were very friendly and helpful. 5 minutes drive into Morecambe.
