A fantastic experience from when we walked in the door - Met by the friendliest staff I have experienced to date and a bonus was the room being upgraded at no charge - The facilities have been upgraded and renovated to a beautiful modern look and the breakfast was exceptionally good - The Incredible gardens are meticulously maintained - I honestly did not expect such a great stay - I wish I had booked longer!

Loved the pleasure of a hot spa bath on a cold winter's day. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast cooked to our personal likes. Parasails floated by at eye level, which was fun to watch. We have stayed at Whales Way previously and loved the beach walk. It was just too cold and too little time this visit.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay in Wilderness, other than I wish it could have been for longer! Our accomadation at Tranquil Shores, was simply perfect. Our host was so gracious and generous with advise for local activities and attractions. The room we stayed in was lovely and very tastefully decorated.
Honestly this was such a lovely place to spend some time in.

The beaches and views from the top of Hoekwil or Map of Africa are too beautiful. The nature walks and general magical feeling of the place makes it an ideal holiday destination. It is close to the large town of George and Knysna with markets available on Saturdays,
You would need a car to get around Wilderness.

Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand.
Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property.
This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.
This is an awesome property. The location is breathtaking and it’s very convenient to explore the nearby region in the garden route , Oudtshoorn and Cango Caves. The host Ms. Hoffman is an artist and her paintings are showcased throughout the property. It has a boutique studio vibe. Hoffmans are a warm couple who welcomes the guests personally and provides the introductory tour to the property. Right on the beach, it’s a great place to relax and explore.
This home on the beach is splendid! My wife and I booked a weekend there, and loved the cozy atmosphere, and natural wonder just outside our door. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the beach with your family, this is it.
Everything you may need was provided in the home, and our host Nora was the most lovely, interesting person.
Perfect in every way. Clean, comfortable, thoughtfully designed personal spaces. USB plugs by the bed, lovely deck to lounge and safe and secure. The wet room cane complete with lotions and shampoo and Carmina goes the extra mile to make her guests feel welcomed and at home. The perfect place to stay in Wilderness.
Being encapsulated in nature but also a stones throw away from wilderness centre , the two top rooms were beautiful and comfortable with great views of the Indian ocean and dunes. great having the entire place to yourself with all the facilities and conveniences of a home but with the luxury touches of a hotel.
Everything. Sarie and Lyle were both wonderful hosts. Very warm and welcoming, and bery attentive to our needs. They’ve made myself and my wife feel at home. The place is spotless. Modern. And the beach view is just breathtaking. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had in a hotel!
The cloverleigh guest house is a great place for couples wanting to explore the Garden route. It is secluded but walking distance to Wilderness village centre and the Beach. The room has a fantastic view of the lagoon and the hosts are extremely accommodating.
This was by far our most beautiful accommodation on the garden route! We loved the view of the ocean and the patio for having drinks and food. Wilderness was a beautiful town and we are so glad we spent our time with Boardwalk Lodge!
The place was just beautiful. A dream villa right on the beach. The hosts were so welcoming, felt like a home away from home. Room was great and breakfast was lovely. Close to some good restaurants too. Would highly recommend.
